Sometimes I hate being a longtime Sonic fan and getting all these references to traumatizing Sonic “fan art” all across the Internet.
Also, the first few 3D Sonic games (Sonic Adventure, SA2, and Sonic Heroes) are not THAT bad for the time. It’s just that Sonic Adventure got some very bad ports, and it is unfortunately those bad ports that get the most recent ports on places like Steam instead of the superior Dreamcast original. And even then, the most accessible Steam port can be drastically improved with the “Dreamcastify” mod.
It’s like how Sonic Colors will unfortunately be remembered less fondly because only the Wii original was good while the easier-to-find “Ultimate” version on modern consoles is a Sonic 06-like wreck, especially on Switch.
