yeah, they're not fair, it can't be helped. There was a bbs post that girlfriendkwai or something was saying he is christian and ting then i started to refute his words with bible verses, and then in the next day i got banned for "trolling via bible verse", just 2 days of ban, not big deal. But everyone was making fun of him, so i made some, what wrong with that? Anyway shame you got banned, you were always posting funny things. Hails from brazil

Spam Threads are a trick by the Jannies to ban people who they see as too popular on the forums so they can be silenced. Trust me, I learned this from New Anon on the Politics forum.

In all seriousness though I find what they consider a spam thread to be inconsistent at best and at times malicious at worst. A thread that’s nothing but Japanese and or some other language, that makes sense. Other times it’s ridiculous. I remember when Me, Whimsical-Wife, Pudgie, and I think Cyro all got banned because we didn’t know what a spam thread was. They never said anything about it in the rules and nothing about it in the New User introduction thread. It needs to be specified what a Spam Thread is, because Banning innocent people from the forums because of something not specified in the forum rules is kinda goofy.

Banning an innocent user from the forums because they participated in a thread and did nothing wrong outside of replying to said thread is, to be honest, stupid.

Also, I may add that I do find those Belthagor threads annoying I don’t think they deserve to be recognized as Spam. Same with that Crumpet post. Though that may just be my dummy brain.
