I started out a jazz guy, then I got into funk (hence the name) but I only really started getting gigs and local notoriety by playing grind. Most popular I ever was locally was when I was doing rockabilly. Since I'm primarily a drummer, whiddling and diddling isn't really in my wheelhouse. I also avoid screamed vocals because they're hard on the throat. My clean singing style is still really hard on the throat too, though.
